Hiking in Bear Lake is one of the best ways to experience the valley’s natural beauty. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful stroll through wildflowers or a heart-pumping mountain climb, Bear Lake’s trail system has something for every hiker.

Popular Trails:

1. Limber Pine Nature Trail – This 1.5-mile loop is great for families and beginner hikers. You’ll start at 7800 feet in elevation and only gain 80 feet throughout the hike.  The trail winds through shaded forests and ends with a scenic overlook of Bear Lake. Interpretive signs along the way make this a fun and educational hiking experience.

2. Bridger Peak Trail – More suited for experienced hikers, this trail offers sweeping views of the Bear Lake valley and surrounding peaks. The hike is 2.4 miles out-and-back, with 994 feet in elevation gain. It’s a great summer hiking adventure with wildflowers and frequent wildlife sightings.

3. Bloomington Lake Trail – This is another popular hike in the area, with a rope swing into the lake at the end of  the trail.  The trail is 1.6 miles there and back, with with only 170 feet in elevation gain.
