Biking Paths

The most iconic ride in the Bear Lake area is the 50-mile loop that circles the entire lake. Yes, 50 miles! The route winds through St. Charles, Montpelier, and Laketown, before looping back north along the lake’s eastern shoreline.

  • Time: Approx. 5 hours to complete

  • Elevation Gain: 1,040 feet

  • Pro Tip: Not all sections of the loop have paved bike lanes, but the stretch through Garden City is smooth and scenic—perfect for a shorter, more relaxed ride.

If you’re looking for something less intense, biking through Garden City is a must. Just keep an eye out for traffic, especially during the summer months when the roads can get busy.
